listing towards something

WordPress invited me to host a weekly writing challenge on their site. Since I’ve been doing a lot of lists lately, I designed a writing prompt called Listing Toward Something about lists (which have a bad rep, which are only as simple as you write them, I say).

If you’re looking for ideas for something to write today, come by and visit.

About Anna Fonté

Girl in the Hat, aka Anna Fonté, is an author who writes about invisibility, outsider status, everyday monsters, and her attempts to befriend the neighborhood crows. The things she writes want you to look at them.

Thank you for the wonderful writing advice! I will need to carry a note pad with me all the time! There is nothing wrong with that =)

  2. You came up with a great prompt, I really enjoyed making my lists! I’ve used the technique before, but never published. This was a great experience for my blog! Thank you

    congratulations, yeah, yeah

  4. So many fabulous ideas! And what’s not to love about a list…

    XO

  5. Thanks for liking my post…and for the writing prompt. I love lists-of all kinds. They bring clarity!

  6. Lists are the brain’s secretary, Anna. Without them we would be……. (wait a minute, let me check my list)! 🙂

  7. Apologies. I certainly had no idea, this has never happened before. Most people are pleased to have someone share their work, applaud it, give them credit and thank them. There was no intention of stealing your work. Consider it gone.

  8. No one can make a list sound as attractive as you can! xo
